Ever since I visited Harwin, a street that is packed full of fashion jewelry stores that sell at wholesale prices, I’ve been infatuated with fashion jewelry & accessories. I’ve found that I have to wear a necklace or a fat belt with just about every outfit. And don’t get me started on shoes… that’s another obsession of mine. Anyway, I was visiting a small town in TX and decided to drop in on the neighborhood Bealls. I headed straight for the accessories section, just to see how they compared to Harwin. After wandering around checking out all the jewelry I realized I’d been there for almost an hour, just admiring and mixing and matching my necklaces, earrings and belts! On top of that, the prices were a pretty nice bargain for high quality stuff. Throw in designer sunglasses, handbags of all shapes and sizes and other small accessories and now I can skip driving all the way to Harwin for my accessory fix. I can just drop into my favorite Bealls or Palais Royal and I’m set to go!
The best part? Nothing I came across on the racks was over $30.

I was flipping through my mail the other day when I came across a colorful ad with contemporary and very cute clothes. I thought for sure the ad was from one of Houston’s many adorable boutiques, but I was surprised to see that it was from Palais Royal. Not that Palais Royal doesn’t have cute stuff, but there was something different about the outfits. They really hit the target this year with their back to school collection of urban/hip clothing. They have great brands and I even found my favorite fitting jeans there, Mudd has these that sit right below your waist, but you don’t have to keep pulling them up. They even fit my curvy figure, because they have a little stretch in the fabric.
The collection launched just in time for Back to School and offers runway-inspired fashion in sizes and at prices that are easy on the budget. Standouts include dark denim jeans for $34 and the cutest orange and brown empire waist tunic top for $29. Other elements in the line include knit and woven tops, denim and twill bottoms, skirts, dresses, shorts and jackets.
